Privacy Policy 🌿

Cognitive Tango ("we", "us") is a personal wellness app. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and what your rights are. Plain English, no tricks.
What we collect
- Account info — your email address and (optionally) display name when you sign up.
- Wellness data you log — mood check-ins, sleep, hydration, habits, CBT entries, finance entries, etc. Only what you choose to log.
- Authentication — Supabase manages sign-in tokens. If you sign in with Google, we receive your email and a unique account ID — never your Google password.
- Payment info — handled entirely by Stripe. We never see your card number.
How we use it
- To run the app: render charts, calculate streaks, sync between your devices.
- To process payments and provide entitled features (e.g. Founding Member access).
- To send you transactional emails (sign-in, magic links, receipts).
What we don't do
- We don't sell your data. Ever.
- We don't share it with advertisers or third-party trackers.
- We don't read your CBT thought records or mood notes for any purpose.
Where it's stored
Wellness data lives in two places: locally on your device (so the app works offline), and — if you sign in — in a Supabase Postgres database in the United States. Row-level security ensures only you can read your own rows.
Your rights
- Export — Settings → Privacy → Request a full data export. We process queued requests daily; the export is typically ready within 24 hours and always within 30 days. The download lives in your account and is also available via the original Settings → Export your data button (instant, local-only JSON).
- Delete — Settings → Privacy → Delete my account & data. We process queued deletions daily and complete the full erasure (Supabase records, Stripe customer object, active subscriptions) within 24 hours and always within 30 days, in line with GDPR Article 17 and CCPA §1798.105. We retain de-identified accounting records for purchases as required by US tax law (~7 years).
- Correct — You can edit anything you've logged from inside the app.
